Reposted from imagineNATIVE Film + Media Arts Festival:
For its SECOND YEAR, imagineNATIVE is back with the Game Developers Conference (GDC) Scholars Program, and we’re extremely excited for the next generation of Indigenous digital talent!
What is the Scholarship all about?
The imagineNATIVE GDC Scholarship Program is an opportunity for Indigenous game designers and digital creators from around the world to receive a free Conference + Summits Pass to GDC from March 16 – 20, 2020. Please note that currently imagineNATIVE cannot offer Travel or Accommodations support to GDC.
What is GDC?
The Game Developers Conference (GDC) is the world’s largest professional game industry event bringing together 28,000 attendees to exchange ideas and shape the future of the industry. It includes five days of education, inspiration, and networking at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.
Why attend with us?
GDC is one of the most important events in the digital entertainment industry, but it can also be very overwhelming. imagineNATIVE’s GDC Scholarship Program brings together a cohort of Indigenous digital creators along with an imagineNATIVE staff member to ensure that our Scholars have the best possible experience!
If you are interested, please apply by November 30, 2019!
If you any questions please contact our Digital + Interactive Coordinator, Meagan Byrne.
